The feeling of getting your first paying customer is a gratifying one as it’s proof that the space where you occupy in the market, an opportunity exists there.  The priority now can now shift toward attracting more customers and getting them to pay a fair price over the cost of delivering your goods or services to them.      

The ability of an entrepreneur to be notified about something they otherwise might not be aware of is an opportunity that a business should take advantage of.  

If you’re fortunate enough to already have a feedback mechanism in place, you should make every effort to leverage the information provided to you.  

Consider the potential value of this data.  Your customers are essentially telling you “Now that we’ve given you our money, here are some things you should take into account so that we would be willing to spend more with you.”  

While it’s impossible to implement every single recommendation made by customers, it’s important to develop an understanding for what your target audience is looking for, especially when you have competition in your space.  To anyone who doesn’t believe in the notion that giving the customer what they want is a key to a successful business, I need only to point you to Exhibit A — Amazon.   

No business is too big or too small to start listening to their customer base and leveraging what they have to say.  Depending on your size and resources, this may be as simple as having a focused conversations with some of your closest customers and asking them questions on how to improve.
